ID Integration is the sole supplier of UID Marking Carts for the Intermec AIT-IV program and contract.

What Is AIT IV?

Automatic Identification Technology (AIT) is the basic building block in the U.S. Defense Department's effort to provide timely asset visibility in the logistics pipeline, whether in process, in storage, or in transit.

The AIT IV contract ensures consistent technology and implementation across all Defense Departments. The AIT IV contract is a multiple award, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract that allows suppliers such as ID Integration to fill AIT purchase orders for any authorized agency.

AIT IV Objective

The objective of AIT IV is to create a state of the art, common integrated structure for logistical tracking, locating, and monitoring of military and government assets. AIT reduces administration costs in a wide variety of applications by increasing data accuracy, eliminating errors, speeding the collection and transmission of data, and making the entire data entry and collection process more efficient.

AIT IV Technology

AIT technology includes barcodes (linear, PDF 417 and UID Data Matrix), radio frequency ID, and satellite tracking systems, smart cards, optical memory cards, and contact memory buttons. By enabling data collection and transmission to automated information systems (AISs), AIT provides the combatant commanders with the capability to track, document, and control the deployment of personnel and materiel.
