MIL STD 130N

The Department of Defense is mandating the unique identification of items in a policy announced in July of 2003. The policy requires a two dimensional Data Matrix mark on all items that fall within this mandate.

The MIL-STD-130N creates a complex set of requirements. This standard provides the item marking criteria for development of specific marking requirements and methods for identification of items of military property produced, stocked, stored, and issued by or for the Department of Defense.
